Some members of the Avis Fleet Solutions team recently attended the Electronomous event held in the INEC in Killarney Co Kerry. The event focused on the ever changing face of the motor trade, both at the manufacturer and end user levels.
There were seminars on the intricate details of the computer programming within electric vehicles as well as presentations from distinguished speakers such as Erik Lorentzen, the head of the Norwegian Electric Vehicle association, about how government change lead to a 30% increase in new electric vehicle sales over a few years and the challenges they faced. Other talks focused on the interim service providers from Applegreen giving a different perspective on customer usage at their locations to Sat Nav and direction systems of the future in the form of a new app “what3words”.
The main message that was taken from the event was that the motor industry is experiencing a significant level of change that is being driven by technological advancements and changing consumer demands. We here in Avis Fleet Solutions look forward to these changes and the challenges they present for us as a company and will be ready and prepared to implement this new advance into our comprehensive services of the future.
